The Institute for Nonprofit Practice is a national capacity building organization that offers a suite of resources in nonprofit leadership development. In 2022, INP programming launched in the Western NY area, offering the Core Certificate Program for established nonprofit executives and the RISE Program for early career leaders.

To date, two Chautauqua County nonprofit professionals, Reuben Hernandez, Chautauqua County Land Bank and Alize Scott-Nowell, YWCA Jamestown, have taken part in the RISE program.

If you are eager to broaden your horizons this program is an excellent opportunity. It not only equipped me with valuable skills and knowledge to work in the nonprofit sector, but it also created lasting memories and connections.

Alongside the more formal sessions, the informal gatherings were standout moments that enriched the overall experience. Our cohort was able to connect with each other on a personal level, sharing our stories, dreams and aspirations.
